VA’s Veteran of The Day Army Veteran Bradford Freeman

Bradford Freeman is an Army Veteran that enlisted in December of 1942. Once his training was completed, he joined the 506th Parachute Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division in England. As part of his service, he participated in the invasion of Normandy. He continued fighting until 1945 taking part in all major battles. After his service he returned home where he was a mailman for over 30 years.

Unfortunately, Freeman passed away in July of 2022 he was 97 years young. He was the last surviving member of the 506th Parachute Regiment.
